Trying to think of a new tumblr banner/avatar, probably something anime related. But I can’t remember any anime that I like. Or at least I can’t remember why I liked any of the anime that I did. The majority of shows I’ve seen I saw back when I didn’t have any standards. The only anime I’ve watched in the past year has been Steins;Gate, which I didn’t finish. Which is saying something, as I used to finish everything, no matter how bad. And I’m quite sure Steins;Gate is miles better than shit I watched back in the day and enjoyed.
Oh I also watched the Evangelion movies recently. Was putting off watching them until every movie was on on BD, but I decided even my “wait until everything is out” compulsion has its limits. My thoughts on the movies were more or less as follows:
1. Less pewpew more boohoo, please.
2. Rei and Shinji recieved good character development. Kaworu got more than he did in the original show. But Asuka and New Asuka got basically nothing.
3. Gainax should go back to rewriting everything from scratch at the last minute.
4. I should rewatch the original show (It was the first anime I watched 6 years ago).
5. I thought this post was about deciding on a tumblr avatar.
